GIFT-Spiritual Growth

Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:17-18

The goal of spiritual growth is transformation into nothing less than the image of Jesus Christ.
Daily Bible reading and reading of devotions is a great way to move toward the transformation described by Paul in the Scripture above.
There are many resources available, but let us use The Upper Room magazine as an example.
If you are alone, you may want to read the Bible verse aloud, and to pray the closing prayer aloud. You may also want to have a journal beside you as you read, to jot down ideas that occur to you as you do the day’s devotional.
Other daily reading and devotionals, both magazines and online, can be used in the same way. Ten minutes a day, every day, can help bring you closer to God.
