Our Worship

Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church
Empowering all God’s people to fulfill their call as servants of Christ

Worship lifts up Jesus so people can hear their call. To do that it is essential that we make space for the Word to dwell among us. It focuses the church for God’s mission in the world. The atmosphere needs to be one that allows worshippers to passionately communicate the depth of their love to God.

That atmosphere is edgy, high-energy, can be felt, ancient-modern, God focused, participatory, and active. That is achieved through multi-media which serves as modern stained-glass and should portray something inspirational. Music is integral. We will use music styles that enable the maximum number of people to connect to the celebration and ultimately to Jesus.

We offer worship opportunities to fit your schedule and children's programming and childcare at every service.  Everyone is welcome!

Traditional Worship - Sundays 11:00am

Our traditional service begins at 11:00am and highlights the rich traditions of our United Methodist heritage. You can worship our God through singing of hymns. responsive readings, and prayerful reflection. Pastors Dale Lykins and David To deliver an insightful message each week to help us grow in our faith. The choir sings regularly in this service. Children's programming is provided for children through 5th grade through our Celebration City children's ministry. Nursery care is also provided. Quieting rooms are provided at the back of the sanctuary for parents with small children or children with special needs.

Contemporary Worship - Saturday 6:00pm, Sunday 9:30am

For those of you who like a more contemporary style of worship our Saturday 6:00pm or Sunday 9:30am services may be for you. Our praise and worship bands lead the congregation in contemporary christian praise songs. The dynamic messages are delivered through a multimedia presentation. Childcare is provided for children through 5th grade through our Celebration City children's ministry.
