The Scioto Ridge Boys Gospel Quartet (Click Here for more information, performance schedule and to order recordings)

The Scioto Ridge Boys Gospel Quartet, named Ohio Christian Music Association Gospel Quartet of the Year for 2002, delivers the musical message of salvation. During the past 16 years since they began singing the praises of the Lord, many people have heard their witness and message in song of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Beginning in their home church [Scioto Ridge] they have sung at the Ohio State Fair, the Indiana State Fair, Lancaster Campground, the Lakeside Association at Hoover Auditorium, and several West Ohio Methodist Conference programs for the Bishop, United Methodist ChurchDevelopment Activities and the National Annual Conference Treasurers meeting in Columbus. They provided special music at the 2004 General Conference of the United Methodist Church in Pittsburgh, and at the 2004 West Ohio Annual Conference in Lakeside, Ohio. They have spread the love of Jesus through their singing at numerous churches and venues throughout Ohio.

The Scioto Ridge Boys sing at least one Sunday a month in all Sunday Morning worship services.

Accompanied by the talented Betsy Paster on piano, the Scioto Ridge Boys blend Southern contemporary tunes such as “Midnight Cry”, “We Shall See Jesus”, “This Ol’ House”, “How Big is God!”, “Sinner Saved by Grace”, “What a Savior”, with more traditional gospel songs such as “I'll Fly Away”, “Peace in The Valley”, “I’m Feeling Fine” and many others. Audiences enjoy the joyful, enthusiastic, humorous yet serious witness the Scioto Ridge Boys deliver in their performances, along with close melodic harmony and lyrical interpretations.

Their newly released CD, Celebrating God’s Grace, (November 2005) highlights their close harmonies and the piano styling of Betsy Paster. Two other CD’s entitled “I Saw the Light”, and “Praise, Peace, and Glory” feature many gospel music favorites. Betsy Paster’s CD/tape, “Blessed Assurance”, features many upbeat sacred selections.  Mark Snider (tenor), Ray Miller (baritone), Bob Houston (lead) and Bob Joseph (bass) are occasionally featured in solo as they worship the Lord with gladness through song. You will thoroughly enjoy the inspirational message of the Scioto Ridge Boys Gospel Quartet.  For information on engaging the Scioto Ridge Boys for your event or worship service, contact Mr. Ray Miller at 614-876-1436.

Trinity

Three women from our Adult Choir decided to sing a trio together during the Christmas season in 1997.  Since that day, they have enjoyed sharing their God-given talents for Scioto Ridge as the trio known as Trinity.

In the past three years, the group has become very comfortable with a contemporary style, performing songs such as “The Great Divide”, “My God”, and “The Wonder of It All”.  They also enjoy singing various arrangements of spirituals such as “Swing Low” and “Kum Ba Yah.”

Trinity sings regularly at Scioto Ridge.  The three members, Ann Marlowe, Cindy Klatt, and Kimberly Ball, have performed at many United Methodist Women’s functions as well as several concerts in our church and others.  They have also been honored to join the Scioto Ridge Boys on occasion, while presenting the Lord’s music together with lots of harmony and fun.

Trinity sings for our Sunday morning worship services every other month.

4 Heavenly Praise

A quartet known to Scioto Ridge as 4 Heavenly Praise began singing together in early 1998.  This group sings for various Scioto Ridge functions as well as every other month in Sunday morning worship.  Tim Martin, Dick Reidenbach, Cindy Klatt, and Kimberly Ball, along with accompanist Sue Knopp, enjoy singing contemporary arrangements of traditional hymns such as “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” and “Jesus Loves Me”, as well as their own accappella version of “Now Let Us Sing”.  They demonstrate their love for the Lord by providing wonderful 4-part harmony to His music in their own warm, comfortable style.
